Bob Welch began his career in machining in July 1965 at the Beech Aircraft Company and worked for several years in the Wichita area for Boeing and numerous machine shops prior to starting his own business. He established the company in Feb. 1980 to build tooling for the aircraft industry and expanded into production machining a year later. From 1981 to today Welch Machine has been a supplier for the US Government, Boeing, Cessna, Lear Jet, Sino-Swearingen, Tiger Aircraft, Commander Aircraft, Micco Aircraft and Quartz Mountain Aerospace and numerous commercial businesses such as the agriculture, automotive and oil industries.
